'Some scriptures in the Bible are senseless and utterly stupid' – Ghanaian Pastor, Mensa Otabil says
The general overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Ghana, Pastor Mensa Otabil has said that some scriptures in the Bible are ''senseless and utterly stupid.''

While preaching to his congregants during a service which was aired by TV3 on Sunday, May 26, 2019, he explained the reason for describing some scriptures in the bible as senseless.

'Anyone who decides to subject some inscriptions in the Christian sacred book to critical scrutiny will have a lot of questions to be asked. This is because some stuff in the Bible are utterly stupid and senseless to critical thinking minds.'

Pastor Mensa Otabil also said, “why should I give while I’m supposed to save? It is senseless”

He added that some of these scriptures he quoted are the foolish, on the other hand, he cited, “If someone comes to your house and steal your fridge will you tell the thief to come for your television in addition? Mensa Otabil asked his congregants “how many of you can do it? There was no response, and then he stated, “it doesn’t make sense”.

Nonetheless, Dr. Mensa Otabil summed everything by saying, “The nonsense of God is wiser than the sense of men”. Thus, some of the inscriptions or if you like scriptures in the Bible do not make sense, however, no human wisdom can be compared to the senseless of the Ultimate Reality or God.''

Michael Arowosaiye: RCCG finally speaks on death of singer who allegedly committed suicide
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Friday reacted to reports of the death of one Mr. Michael Arowosaiye, said to have committed suicide in Abuja on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

The church’s position was contained in a statement released by Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, Head Media & Public Relations.

It said while the RCCG leadership sympathises with the family of the deceased, it had become necessary to clarify information in the public.

It read: “The said Mr. Michael Arowosaiye was not a minister in the RCCG. He was a singer and a keyboardist in one of our Youth Parishes in Abuja until 2017 when he left for another ministry in 2017.

“His movement to another ministry notwithstanding, Michael, through his elder brother who is presently one of the coordinators of the RCCG Youth Choir, continued to get invitation to minister in RCCG programmes.

“He had accommodation problem in 2018 and though he was no longer in the RCCG, a family in the Mission gave him the Boy’s Quarters of their house in Sunnyvale Estate in Lokogoma which was where he lived till the unfortunate suicide incident.

“It is therefore untrue to refer to him as a Minister in the RCCG. It is also misleading and absolutely incorrect to create the impression that RCCG does not care for its Members and Ministers.

“The RCCG is in the forefront among organizations with robust welfare package in Nigeria.:

The Victims Of Nigerian South Africa Based Pastor, Timothy Omotoso Warn People

BREAKING NEWS
The Victims Of Nigerian South Africa Based Pastor, Timothy Omotoso Warn People
Anele and Neliswa Mxakaza were allegedly lured to Nigerian prophet Timothy Omotoso's house. The alleged victims of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso have warned people not to fall prey to “fake pastors”.

Sheryl Zondi, 22, and twins Anele and Nelisiwe Mxakaza, 22, spoke at the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL) dialogue for abused people in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, last week.

The girls told of the alleged abuses they suffered at Omotoso’s home in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal.
They gave testimonies to warn other young people from falling into the same trap as they had.
Zondi, a student and aspiring musician, said her sexual and emotional abuse started when she was 14.
“I trusted and [he ] was supposed to be a mentor and a man of God,” Zondi said.
The young student said she was groomed to obey him before being lured to live with him.
“If I went to buy bread, I had to tell him. If I spoke to a boy at school, I had to immediately tell him,” she said.
Anele and Nelisiwe Mxakaza, who auditioned for Idols in 2013, also spoke of their abuse.
“He told me to rub his feet. He told me to go higher. I was scared. He told me to come to the bed. He went on top of me and told me to take off my pyjamas and I did so,” Nelisiwe said.

“He would ask God to forgive us. It made me angry. I didn’t do anything.”

The twin sisters were accompanied by their distraught mother Gloria Mxakaza who spent years trying to get her daughters out of Omotoso’s clutches.
She said that it was difficult because of the powerful people protecting him.
Omotoso is expected to stand trial in July on charges of human trafficking, rape and sexual assault.

Retired Evangelist, Prophet Abiara Of CAC To Remary At 75

BREAKING NEWS
Retired Prophet Abiara Of CAC To Remary At 75

The General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Comfort, popularly known as CAC Agbala Itura, Prophet Samuel Kayode Abiara, has revealed he is ready to remarry, two years after his wife passed on.
Abiara disclosed this at an elaborate send-off service held in his honour, as the retired General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide in Bashorun, Ibadan.
While giving his farewell speech, he said: “It’s a year and half my beloved wife Christiana Aduke Abiara went to be with the Lord.
“I missed her so much. It was all over the news when the event took place. A lot of people are wondering and asking questions what would I do?
“I told them I am waiting on God, that whatever He tells me I will do. Well, by God’s grace, I will remarry in few days time and you will be informed.
“I consider it imperative to re-marry because it was stated in the Bible. It was in the Bible that if a man loses his wife or a woman loses her husband, he or she must re-marry, particularly because of the nature of my work.
“My children have held a meeting that it was not good for me to be alone in the house as all of them have travelled out and God spoke to me that I must do it and by the grace of God, you will get informed soon.”
Speaking on his retirement, he said contrary to people’s notion that he wants to quit the work of God, he is still an active worker in God’s vineyard.
According to the cleric, his retirement was in accordance to the church’s constitution, which makes it compulsory for officers to resign after clocking 75.
