Singer Shakira lands in court over alleged tax fraud
Popular Colombian singer,
Shakira has appeared in a Spanish court on Thursday to answer tax fraud
charges.
The prosecutors
accused her of failing to pay up to 14.5 million Euros ($16.29 million) in
taxes on income earned between 2012 and 2014.
Shakira arrived at
Esplugues de Llobregat Court near Barcelona in the morning, through the court’s
car park entrance, to avoid the media and was seen briefly through a window,
NAN reports.
Prosecutors filed
charges last December for the period they said Shakira was living in the region
of Catalonia but the singer’s representatives said she did not live in Spain
until 2015 and had met all her tax obligations.
The 42-year-old
singer and the FC Barcelona Defender, Gerard Pique, have been together since
2011 and they have two children.
Shakira had
appeared in court in May to face accusations of plagiarism for “La Bicicleta’’,
a song she played with Carlos Vives, though the lawsuit was dismissed after the
court ruled that they did not copy it.
American actor, Tracy Morgan gets in an accident barely 15-minutes
after buying a $2 Million Bugatti
American
actor, Tracy Morgan picked up a $2 million Bugatti sports car on
Tuesday and then immediately got into a minor car crash on the streets of
New York City.
According to a NYPD
spokesperson, the department received a call around 1:20 p.m. about a
motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 42nd Street and Tenth Avenue in
Manhattan.
"When officers
got to the scene, they found two vehicles that were involved in a very minor
traffic accident where two cars were basically side by side, and as the light
turned green the cars touched. They rubbed slightly" the NYPD
spokesperson said.
Although the damage
was minor, Morgan still appeared furious at the scene. In videos going round on
social media, the 50-year-old comedian is seen climbing out of his
sports car and banging on the window of the silver Honda CR-V, which police
said was driven by a 61-year-old woman.
"It's a $2
million car!" Morgan can be heard telling bystanders. "Just bought
it!" Morgan was seen entering an ambulance at the scene, but police
said the comedian was not hurt and had merely asked to sit in the vehicle
to get out of the sun and the view of the public and paparazzi.

Blac Chyna has a
new reality show titled "The Real Blac Chyna" and clips from the show
captures her getting violent with her mother.
In a sneak preview,
Chyna is seen smoking an e-cigarette in her kitchen while having a conversation
with her mum, Tokyo Toni. Tokyo tells her she needs to see a shrink and asks
her what her problem is. Chyna then tells her mum that she (Tokyo) is her problem.
She raised her
voice at her mum as she said this and had her hand in her face. This angered
her mum and she warned her sternly while reminding her how she raised her alone
without help and suffered for her. But Chyna doesn't take this well and she asks
her mum to leave her house.
"Get out of my
house. I hate you," Chyna tells her mum before going to the counter to
pick a bottle which she aims at her mother, but her body guard holds her back
while her mother is escorted out of the house.

Nicolas Cage's quickie divorce from his estranged wife of 4-days
granted
Nicolas Cage and
Erika Koike, his estranged wife of four days are now officially
divorced.
Back in March, the
American actor filed for an annulment four days after getting married to his
fourth wife, Erika Koike, claiming the union was based on fraud because Erika
didn't disclose a couple of little things: her criminal history and her relationship
with another person.
Erika later opposed
the move and filed docs demanding spousal support from him over claims she has
lost job opportunities during their year-long relationship and she also alleges
that her reputation has been damaged by the legal fees.
She also added that
she wants Cage to cover her legal fees regarding their marriage split. But it's
unclear if she's getting support after court papers obtained by TMZ revealed
that the judge in Clark County, NV granted their divorce on Friday, May 31.
This is Cage's
fourth marriage. He was previously married to Patricia Arquette, Lisa
Marie Presley, and Alice Kim.
He and Kim were
married from 2004 to 2016 and share a son Kal-El who was born in October 2005.
Before that, Cage
was married to Lisa Marie but the union lasted just three months in 2002. His
first marriage was to actress Patricia Arquette, 50, from 1995 until 2001.
Cage also has a
son, Weston, 28, from a previous relationship with actress Christina
Fulton.

Game of Thrones star actor, Jon Snow checks into rehab
Game of Thrones’
star, Kit Harington, who acted the character, Jon Snow, has reportedly checked
into rehab for stress and alcohol following the show’s ending.
The London-born
actor was working on “personal issues” at a retreat in the US before the HBO
series came to an end in May after eight seasons, NAN reports.
Sources report that
Harington is reported to have checked into the luxury centre weeks before its
May 19 finale.
Sources told the
website that the actor checked into the centre over stress and alcohol use,
especially with the show ending which “really hit him hard”.
A representative
for the star said Harington was spending time at the retreat to “work on some
personal issues”.
The news emerged
after a documentary about the show, ‘The Last Watch’, showed Harington in tears
as he learned about his character’s fate.
Harington told
Esquire in April that he broke down after filming Jon’s final scenes.
He said, “The final
day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… I felt fine… Then I went to do my
last shots and started hyperventilating a bit.
“Then they called,
‘Wrap!’ And I just broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not
being able to do this again.”

Nigeria (NAN) reports that Harington is married to his Game Of Thrones co-star,
Rose Leslie.

Lamar Odom told in
his new memoir that ex-wife Khloe Kardashian once "beat up"
a stripper she caught him with during their marriage.
In the book titled
"Darkness to Light", Lamar recalled being in a room at the Hotel
Roosevelt in 2012 with a bevy of naked women for a cocaine and
marijuana-fueled party. The former Lakers player said that while he was
there with the naked girls, Khloe and her mom Kris Jenner barged into
the hotel room with their security guards after getting a key from hotel staff.
"[She] opened
the door and pounced on the first girl she saw," he said.
Lamar added that
Khloe, "beat the sh*t out of one of the girls who tried to protest. She's
dropping vicious blows all over the top of this girl's head."
Lamar said Kris
Jenner was apparently screaming during the fight as security attempted to pull
Khloe off the woman. Lamar says Khloe then told him to pack up his things
as the security staff cleared the hotel room of all traces of drugs.
The incident wasn't
the first time Khloe attacked one of Lamar's mistresses. In 2013, Khloe
was accused of trying to attack a woman named Polina Polonsky after she caught
her with Lamar at the Vagabond Inn. That same year, Khloe split from Lamar.

now a father.
The 34-year-old singer announced the arrival
of his little boy on Instagram Thursday night.
“My son Noah. We are blessed and overjoyed.
Peace ,” the “Slow Motion” crooner captioned a photo of the adorable baby
sleeping in a blue and white bear-patterned onesie.
However, the singer whose real name is Tremaine
Aldon Neverson, did not reveal who the baby’s mother was.
Former WWE female wrestler, Ashley Massaro has died at the age of 39
Former WWE star Ashley Massaro has died at
the age of 39.
"We are saddened to learn of the tragic
death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. WWE offers its condolences to
Ashley's family and friends" WWE said in a statement.
Massaro was in the WWE between 2005 and 2008,
and her death comes two months after she said she's training to return to
wrestling. "Gonna be bumping around the ring starting next week ... super
pumped n ready to see what I got left in these ole boots of mine!" she
tweeted in March.
Friends, fans and former colleagues shared
condolences and memories of her shortly after her death was announced. "I
have no words. Ashley was my tag partner at Wrestlemania. My sometimes road
wife. We did countless photo shoots and press days together. It seems like yesterday
Ashley was a major part of my life and then our worlds changed and now she is
gone. I'm heartbroken for her family," Maria Kanellis Bennett tweeted.
Professional wrestler Torrie Wilson described
her as one of the sweetest people she knows. "I can't even begin to
explain how devastated I am," she said. Massaro also competed on the CBS
show "Survivor" about a decade ago.
The WWE did not provide any details on her
cause of death.
"Social media has been terrible to my generation, am taking break" - Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is voicing her concern about the
"terrible" effect that social media has had on her generation, and
says she advocates taking breaks from the platforms.
Gomez who is the third most followed person
on Instagram after soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and pop singer Ariana Grande,
said during a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival that she gets
"scared" when she looks at the exposure of young girls and boys on
those platforms.
"They're not aware of the news or
anything going on. It's selfish I don't wanna say selfish because it feels
rude but it's dangerous for sure. I think our world is going through a
lot, obviously. But for my generation, specifically, social media has been
terrible," she said.
Asked what more she could do to improve the
social media environment, given her large following, Gomez said it is
"impossible" at this point to make it safe. She also said she tries
to be conscious when posting on Instagram, to avoid putting unnecessary
pressure on her fans. "I'm very grateful I have the platform in any way, I
can still share things I'm passionate about. I don't do a lot of pointless

Gomez also called on people to take breaks in
social media use: "It can be great in moments, but I would just be careful
and allow yourself some time limits when you should use it and when

Bulgarian boxer,
Kubrat Pulev to pay $2,500 fine, undergo sexual harassment course for kissing a female
reporter on the lips without consent
Bulgarian Heavyweight boxer, Kubrat Pulev
who forcefully kissed a female reporter during a post-fight interview in March,
has been ordered to complete a sexual harassment course in order to be licensed
to fight in California again.
The 38-year-old appeared in front of the
California State Athletic Commission on Tuesday to address the March 23
incident when he kissed reporter Jenny Sushe during a post-fight
interview.
CSAC had suspended Pulev indefinitely
following the incident but when the boxer faced the Commission in person on
Tuesday, they agreed to reinstate him on July 22 if he completes a sexual
harassment training course, according to TMZ.
During the hearing, the CSAC commissioner
lectured Pulev about the incident, telling him that he needs to understand why
his actions are unacceptable and dangerous.
Pulev said he understood and wants to get
back to work fighting as soon as possible.
He was later ordered to pay a $2,500 fine
within 6 months from the incident and if he commits any similar offenses in the
future, he could face a lifetime ban in California.

R. Kelly pays $41,666
in child support, as prosecutors 'prepare to convene jury for separate
charges of sexual assault'
R. Kelly has paid over $40,000 in child
support for the next two months to avoid facing jail time for contempt of
court.
Kelly's family attorney Lisa Damico appeared
in Chicago court Tuesday afternoon and paid $41,666 to cover June and July's
child support payments to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, TMZ reported.
It was claimed that the embattled singer,
52, still owes interest on back child support of $32,000.
However his manager Darrell Johnson told
TMZ: 'At no point in the foreseen future do we see paying interest of child
support. As of May 14, 2019 Mr. Kelly is current on support payments.'
Just days ago, the Grammy award winning
singer appeared in court and paid another $62,000 in back child support during
a hearing.
It came weeks after the judge in that case
ordered Kelly to jail after finding him in contempt of court for failing to pay
$161,000 in back child support to his ex-wife, who is the mother of his three
children.
Kelly remained locked up for three days until
he raised the back child support.
'He's not a deadbeat dad,' Kelly's lawyer
Lisa Damico told reporters after Wednesday's hearing, the Chicago Sun-Times
reported.
'All he wants to do is do right by his kids.'
Kelly's bookings for performances began
drying up following the airing of a television documentary, Surviving R Kelly.
That was weeks before his February arrest on
charges accusing him of sexually abusing a woman and three girls over roughly a
10-year period starting in the late 1990s.
Last Tuesday, one of his lawyers told
reporters that he was lining up performances for the Grammy award-winning
R&B singer in Illinois and outside the state, and that he anticipated the
judge approving requests to travel to make those appearances.
Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the sexual
abuse charges and denied any wrongdoing.
Earlier this month, R. Kelly appeared for a
hearing where his attorney, Steve Greenberg, demanded prosecutors hand over
celebrity attorney Michael Avenatti's video evidence that allegedly shows Kelly
having sex with an underage girl.
Kelly's legal troubles are far from over as
it was revealed that Illinois prosecutors are preparing to convene a grand jury
later this month, to look into sex trafficking claims against Kelly.
The case, led by the Northern District
of Illinois, is separate from two other probes underway into Kelly in New
York.
That grand jury will reportedly include
witness testimony of how Kelly allegedly bought plane tickets and hotel rooms
for underage girls, as well as emails and text-messages and physical evidence
including semen-stained clothing, according to TMZ.
Earlier this year it was reported that
Illinois investigators and prosecutors were looking for more sex tapes
involving Kelly and minors and interviewing parties close to the
singer.
The video was brought to light by Avenatti,
who represents two of Kelly's accusers. The lawyer currently faces unrelated
charges of embezzlement and extortion in California.
