Iyabo Ojo releases photos from her wedding and her marriage certificate to discredit claims that she never got married

 

Iyabo Ojo has released photos of her on her wedding day to dispute claims that she never got married and has been deceiving her fans.

The actress slammed the blogger who made the claims and also shared a video showing her marriage certificate and all other documents that proves she got married in 1999 at the age of 21.

Sharing the proof of her wedding, she wrote: 

They say silence is golden, but there are times one can’t help but address obvious situations. 

A journey just come blogger called Kemi, NOT AUNTY KEM KEM OOOOOOOOO, decided to discredit my Mother’s Day video. She emphasised in her write up that I was never married and my ex partner was a carpenter (though she claimed all was sent to her as usual) ?.... I saw her write up and chatted her up, sent my marriage certificate, she read and ignored. Then other smallies started blogging the story. When you land yourself in wahala now, you will say the information came from my phone or maybe a PA sent it. Just for my true fans, here is a video of my marriage certificate and my wedding pictures. Kemi Ashefon, may you go through all I went through and worse than I did, when you decide to tell your story, people will turn deaf ears and call you names... ori gbogbo yin ti daru..... awon blogger blogger eleribu..

Kunle Afod's wife, Desola Afod, revealed she tried to have an abortion when she was pregnant with her fourth child.

The mother-of-four made this revelation while celebrating the second birthday of her last child, Yiyenitemi.

She said she had given birth to her first three sons via C-section. She didn't have money to have a 4th operation to birth her fourth child so she tried to abort him. 

Now, she's grateful she didn't go through with the abortion and she's kicking against abortion by advising against it.

Court orders Kano CP to arrest popular Kannywood actress, Hadiza Gabon

 

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Kano, on Thursday ordered the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili to arrest popular Kannywood actress, Hadiza Aliyu Gabon.

This followed her failure to honour the court’s invitation.

Chief Magistrate Muntari Dandago, who gave the order, also charged the police boss to investigate the allegation of assault leveled against Hadiza by Mustapha Badamasi Naburaska.

“Since the invitee is not willing to respect the order of this court, I hereby order the C.O.P [Commissioner of Police] to cause the arrest of the invitee”, he said.

“I further order the C.O.P to investigate the allegation of the complainant and if there is an iota of truth, to charge the suspect before any court of law for prosecution,” the court held.

Hadiza Gabon was dragged to the Chief Magistrate Court 15, sitting at Nomansland, Kano, by Naburaska, a well known comedian in the North.

Naburaska had filed a direct complaint to the court over fears that police may not file charges against her.

Joke Silva Speaks On The Horrific Stories Of Sex Demand In Nollywood

Veteran Nigerian actress, Joke Silva, has said that horrific stories of sex demands are too much in Nollywood.

She said this while fielding questions from newsmen yesterday after the launch of ‘Disowned’, a book by Nina Anyianuka about sexual abuse and harassment, at Terra Kulture in Lagos.

The 56-year-old screen goddess said the pressure on young actresses to offer sexual favours is very high.

“Unfortunately, the casting couch issue is alive in Nollywood,” she began.

“Sometimes there is this hunger to get the work. Maybe you’ve gone to several auditions and you haven’t gotten the work, then somebody tells you that it is because you are not doing what you should do that is why you are not getting the work.

“What I say to them is don’t believe it. By the time the producer, director, production manager or whoever insists on sleeping with you, it is very likely you will end up not getting the work.

“Some of the sad stories we hear is that because some people are so desperate, they end up getting passed around.”

Drawing an analogy with entrepreneurs, Silva said up and coming actresses should not compromise their dignity to get by.

“There is no need for that,” she said.

“As an entrepreneur, you go round looking for money and you are probably going to get several noes before you get your yes.

“It’s the same with audition. You must keep your dignity. Find something else to keep body and soul together.

“That is why you hear that abroad people wait tables or work in restaurants because they need something to keep body and soul together until that break happens.

“You should be proud as long as you are earning honest money. If possible train yourself in audition skills.”

She added that having more women in positions of power and authority in Nollywood could stem the tide.

“We need more women producers, more women scriptwriters and more women stories so that we can then absorb a lot of women in the industry,” she concluded.

AY Reacts To Rita Dominic's Negative Comment On Nollywood Movies In Cinema

Nollywood Actress, Rita Dominic has taken a swipe at Movie producers in the industry.

The actress on her Instagram page said not all movies were cinema worthy.

The post read “Let the quality of work match the hype!!

“Nollywood! Not every movie should be in the cinemas.”

The actress since then has stirred up reactions from actors and Nigerians in general.

According to sources, Rita was possibly reacting to a recent movie in which she was a lead actress in Lilian Afegbai’s recent movie titled ‘Bound’.

It was learnt that she felt that the movie was not cinema worthy.

She was also not seen at the premiere of the movie, screening and did not promote the movie on all her social media platforms but started the hashtag, #noteverymovieshouldbeincinemas.

However, Ayo Makun popularly known as AY replied saying Dominic’s statement was just to make the industry better as Actors and producers were open to criticisms.

“Rita Dominic actually made her point. I had a chat with her on other issues barely 24 hours before her post. I guess it was just a general statement to better the industry. I am only a baby producer in the industry with 3 movies that made it to the cinemas with good box office records/Guinness world records. Judging from where we are coming from, I’m impressed with the growth of Nollywood.

“Unlike Hollywood, with little or no budget we make cautious effort to tell our stories. I am also open to any positive criticism that we help me improve in these line of business. If anyone describes my work as hype, i will let the person understand that the hype man’s job is to get everybody out of their seats and on the dance floor to have a good time. But you have a right to stop dancing when you are not feeling the music. In other words hype without hardwork would only last for a short time. I won’t be hyping The Yoruba Demons without content. I don’t care about what other producers are taking to the cinemas’.

“The Cinema owners have their criteria and standards for screening any movie they show to the public. All i do is stay in my lane and do what i am supposed to do. Anyone have the right to say Timi Dakolo is a better singer than Davido, but they are both appreciated seperately in the showbiz world based on their different markets. So the seriousness and technicalities you expect from the movie 76 by Izu Ojukwu, should be different from an Ay’ 30 Days in Atlanta that is designed to make you laugh’ AY said in an interview with Linda Tv.”

The entrepreneur who delivers ‘Afang Soup’ to customers in Lagos has bought herself an Infiniti FX SUV after a successful 2017 which saw her travel to Dubai, United Arabs Emirates to star in the blockbuster movie, Wedding Party 2.

Wofai, a Cross River native was formerly cruising a Honda car around Lagos State. She shared the photos on her Instagram page and captioned it:

“Old things shall pass away . And all things shall become new … goodbye to my bent Honda that. Welcome my darling infinity. I’m grateful” 

In an Instagram post, Wofai who became popular for her many funny skits on Instagram, said before the fame, she used to hawk pure water, ice cream, sell mangoes, oranges, water leaves in her home state Cross river. She even sold second hand clothes aka okrika, did ushering jobs before running away from home to move to Lagos.

Facebook user, Eketi Edima Ette has slammed those who criticize Black Panther movie.

A Nigerian lady has cautioned people who are going about dishing out negative comments about the movie Black Panther saying it was not funded by blacks and how whites are the ones reaping huge money off it.

Few days, ago OAP Freeze had criticized the movie with claims that it does not promote black culture and that the producers cashed in on our sentiment as black people.

With criticisms springing up left, right and centre, the Facebook user, Eketi Edima Ette decided to remind such people that they never criticized Star Wars and Star Trek, neither did they question why they were not shot in space just as they are questioning why Black Panther wasn’t shot in Africa.
